Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He has also completed the Senior Executive Management Programme at INSEAD as well as other courses at the IE Business School, where he is currently Associate Professor of Financial Statement Analysis of the Master in Management since 2013.
He was the Managing Director of Caser Capital Risk (Caser group), where he directed several investment operations. He was also a member of Caser Group Investment Committee with €13.1 billion of assets under management. Previously, he held management positions in N+1 (currently Alantra), Ahorro Corporación, PwC and Dragados.
He is currently Chief Finance and Strategy Officer of Metrovacesa. Member of the Senior Management Committee and assistant to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Since 2013, he has directed various restructuring and refinancing (value added of €4.3 billion) as well as the recent recapitalisation (€1.65 billion), resulting in €3.3 billion of debt reduction and an Investment Grade rating achieved with both S&P and Moody´s. He has also participated in the sale of Gecina (€1.55B) and the merger with Merlin (€2.2B).
In total he has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in Private Equity, Structure Finance, Corporate Finance and Debt & Equity Capital Markets, having been involved in more than 20 transactions for an amount exceeding €5.7B. He has served on various boards and audit committees since 2004.
