The Group was founded in 2006 and has managed to consolidate into a rapidly growing telecommunications operator maintaining a continued expansion policy through acquisitions. MASMOVIL Group is the operator that has led growth in Spain in recent years and that offers fixed, mobile, Internet and television telephony services to residential customers, companies and operators, through its main brands: Yoigo, MASMOVIL, Pepephone, Llamaya, Lebara, Lycamobile and Virgin telco and their local brands Euskaltel, R, Telecable and Guuk. Since 2019 it has been present in Portugal with its Nowo brand with which it offers fixed, mobile and broadband services to residential customers.
The Group has its own fixed fiber, ADSL and 3G and 4G mobile network infrastructures. In addition, it has more than 550 cities and municipalities to which it already offers 5G services. Its mobile network covers 98.5% of the Spanish population. In addition, it has reached agreements with other telecommunications operators in Spain with which it completes its fixed and mobile network coverage, becoming the operator with the best network coverage in Spain, the fastest fiber and the most satisfied customers, according to independent studies. .
The Group currently has more than 14 million customers and 2,000 employees. It is also a group committed to society and the environment, being the first Teleco to achieve the certificate of zero net carbon emissions and the first in Europe to be a B Corp company that values the positive impact of the Company’s activities on society. people and the planet.

MÁSMÓVIL was listed on the MaB in March 2012. During 2014, the Group joined forces with several telecom operators that had strong entrepreneurial spirits and sustained growth in their respective markets, including: MASMOVIL (residential market), IBERCOM (companies), QUANTUM (operators), XTRA TELECOM (companies and operators) and THE PHONE HOUSE MOVIL (residential).
Thus creating a new Group during 2014, which was 15-20 times bigger than in the previous year. The MASMOVIL Group had a strong customer base in this year: 700,000 in the residential area. Of them 300,000 were mobile and broadband customers, whilst 400,000 corresponded to VoIP services, along with 25,000 customers in the business area.
Throughout 2016, MÁSMÓVIL made significant acquisitions that have allowed it to become the fourth largest telecommunications operator in Spain. In May, the company acquired Pepephone and then in June, the group closed the purchase of Yoigo. After these two operations, the MASMOVIL Group closed September with about 4.5 million customers, of which 4.4 million were mobile customers and about 80,000 fixed broadband.
In 2017, the Group has continued with its acquisitions policy by buying Llamaya, a mobile virtual network operator offering prepaid services, mainly to Latin Americans living in Spain and has consequently added 170,000 new customers to its portfolio.
In 2018, Group MASMOVIL continued leading the growth of the Spanish market both in terms of portability and in fixed and mobile new lines and it still being the Spanish operator with the most satisfied customers in the market. The Group has also continued to develop its acquisition policy with the purchase of Lebara. Thanks to this acquisition, the Company increases its presence in the ethnic customer segment leading this market and reached more than 7.5 million customers. Its brand Yoigo launched the first infinite data rate in the Spanish market and it had been launched the first television services. In addition, it has launched the Yoicard credit card, its first financial service as a result of the agreement with Cetelem. Furthermore, in its determined commitment to reduce the digital divide in Spain, it already offers broadband internet via satellite to 100% of the Spanish population through the satellite KA-SAT, thanks to the agreement with Eutelsat.
The Group closed the year with nearly 9Million customers and 22Million homes available with our fiber optics. In addition, we have joined the most important stock market index in Spain, the IBEX 35, and we are the only company that has passed in record time in MAB, the Continuous Market and, finally, the IBEX 35. The Group has continued to develop its acquisitions policy with the purchase of Hits mobile and has taken its first step in the internationalization of the Group by acquiring a stake in the Portuguese operator NOWO / Oni. We have also created the new MASventures entrepreneurial project shuttle and developed pilot projects with 5G technology to bring useful benefits to society.
In 2020 and after the takeover bid launched by the Cinven, KKR and Providende funds, the MASMOVIL Group has become a 100% private company and has allowed it to consolidate itself as one of the main telecommunications companies in the country with the greatest growth potential. The Group has strengthened its presence in Portugal with the acquisition of 100% of Nowo Communications, which confirms our commitment to the Portuguese residential market.
5G is another challenge that we have embarked on in 2020 from Grupo MASMOVIL, launching service tests in 19 Spanish cities. Finally, during the pandemic, the Group has kept Spain connected through the availability of its fixed and mobile networks, donated more than 1 million FFP2 masks and collaborated for the connectivity of hospitals and nursing homes with the donation of equipment and SIM´ s to facilitate communication between family members
